Today was the first day back at school for teachers, but not students yet. I felt like I needed to bring a bright and sunny outfit to work with me- as much for myself as everyone else's mood. I love my new school, but it's a little confusing picking up with a brand-new curriculum. I'm movin' on up to Algebra 1 this year! I loved Pre-Algebra, but this should be really fun. I'm teaching a high school course to middle-schoolers.

Love, love this Decemberists song. The King Is Dead is an amazing album, and they released a video for this song today, inspired by the book Infinite Jest. Insane.
